Family Services of Warren County and the Warren County Children’s Advocacy Center are teaming up to host a softball tournament to raise funds for the abused and traumatized children of our county. This 3-day event will be beginning on September 17 with a homerun derby and tournament play will take place on Sept. 18 & 19 at Betts Park.

Family Services is currently undergoing a project to provide play therapy for children. The needs for this project include outfitting a room designed for a child-centered, trauma-focused therapy experience and appropriate staff training.

The Children’s Advocacy Center is continuing to expand services for child abuse victims and their families. Funds from the tournament will directly benefit children of the community who experience abuse and maltreatment. These funds will be utilized for a variety of activities and programs including family support services, community education, and outreach.
